Blades of Exile, or BoE, is the third installment of the Exile series developed by Spiderweb Software. Unlike most RPGs at the time, BoE features an open-ended gameplay where player can explore the world at their own pace. The game features three short scenarios that take place after the main trilogy story. The game is very well received as it also features a scenario editor - allowing players to make their own custom scenarios and missions.

Blades of Exile wasn't just a game, it was an adventure construction kit. Players can also download dozens of user-created scenarios - some aren't even set in the Exile universe. How to Play Blades of Exile on Windows 10/11

Unfortunately, the original game does not work on 32-bit versions of Windows OS. However, the game was released as an open-source project. As a result - a faithful recreation/port has been made available for modern Windows under the name OpenBoE which, thankfully, works on modern Windows so players can enjoy this timeless classic.
