FOnline

FOnline is an open-source, cross-platform isometric game engine developed by a Russian team led by A. Cvetinskiy ("Cvet") since 2004. Designed to support Fallout and Fallout 2 graphics and game files, the engine enables players to experience a multiplayer Fallout world, interacting with NPCs, battling creatures, and undertaking quests together. The engine's development has been independent of any Interplay or Bethesda projects.

The FOnline Engine: A Flexible Foundation

The FOnline Engine is a versatile platform that allows for both single-player and multiplayer modes. It supports isometric graphics akin to Fallout 1/2/Tactics and Arcanum, with the capability to use prerendered sprites and 3D models for characters. The engine is written in C++ and offers a flexible scripting system supporting languages like Mono C#, Native C++, and AngelScript. It is cross-platform, targeting Windows, Linux, macOS, iOS, Android, Web, and UWP (PC, Mobile, Xbox).

FOnline: 2238

Developed by the indie group "Rotators" with support from Cvet, FOnline: 2238 is a free-to-play MMORPG based on Fallout and Fallout 2. Set in 2238, three years before Fallout 2, the game expands the world to include areas from both Fallout titles. Players can engage in various activities such as faction wars, exploration, crafting, and trading, all within a persistent world that emphasizes player choice and consequence. Unfortunately, the server has been offline since 2013.

FOnline: Reloaded

FOnline: Reloaded is a project founded by Kilgore, building upon FOnline: 2238. It aims to improve the gameplay experience by reducing time-consuming elements, focusing on factions, and removing less popular features. The game offers a faithful recreation of post-nuclear California, numerous quests, diverse PvP activities, and an extensive crafting system. It emphasizes team play and dynamic, unscripted PvP action while also catering to PvE and role-play enthusiasts.

FOnline: Forever

FOnline: Forever is another iteration of the FOnline-based games, offering a unique take on the post-apocalyptic MMORPG experience. This game highlights its unique character system, equipment mechanics, crafting mechanics, and player-driven market system.
