Developed by High Voltage Software, LEGO Racers is a 1999 kid-friendly racing game themed after the popular toy franchise LEGO. The game is set in the fictional Legoland universe and follows various minifigure characters competing in a racing championship called Rocket Racer. Just like the toy it was based on, the game offers a lot of freedom in creating Minifigure characters and vehicles. The player may use the prebuilt characters and vehicles, or create their own from the wide selection of LEGO parts available. Similar to kart racers, races in LEGO Racers include various items and power-ups that can hinder other racer's progress or boost the player's. On top of the single-player mode, LEGO Racers also features a local multiplayer mode that allows multiple players to race against each other.

How to Install LEGO Racers on Windows 11

1. Download LEGO Racers ISO from this page and unzip the file to any folder.
2. Download and install WinCDEmu or other similar apps that allow virtual drive mounting.
3. Open LegoRacers.ISO using WinCDEmu-4.1.exe, and mount the iso on a new virtual CD drive.
4. Download Alternate Installer v1.0.2 on this page and unzip the file to the same folder.
5. Open LEGO.Racers.Alternate.Installer.1.0.2.exe and follow the installation procedure. Select "Full Install".
6. Once the installation is complete, navigate to the game's folder ("...\LEGO Racers\").
7. Right-click LEGORacers.exe to open its properties.
8. Under the "Compatibility" tab, Set the file to "Run this program in compatibility mode for Windows XP (Service Pack 2)".
9. Click "Apply" then "OK" to save the setting and close the Properties window.
10. Now you can unmount the virtual drive and play the game using LEGORacers.exe.
