MechWarrior 4: Mercenaries is a very popular mecha/vehicle simulation game developed by FASA Studio. As a standalone expansion of MechWarrior 4: Vengeance, the game was first published back in 2002 but was re-published by MekTek in 2010. Just like its predecessors, MechWarrior 4 is known for its first-person cockpit view and heavily customizable player controls that lean on the player's gaming comfort.

The game features beautiful graphics and a solid campaign that lets you command other mech pilots in real-time while driving your vehicle of mass destruction. The game even has a joystick and gamepad support that enhances the gaming experience further to make the fights more immersive. Perhaps one of the greatest contributors to the game's popularity is its multiplayer online play which can get extremely competitive. Many would agree that MechWarrior 4: Mercenaries was truly one of the best sci-fi simulation games on PC during its time period.

The full game was released for free back in 2010 by MekTek. However, the release came without any support. For technical installation help, head over to this link. Otherwise, you may follow the steps below:

• Download the MekTek Version.
• Unzip the file to a folder of your choice.
• Navigate the folder and run autoconfig_MERCS.exe as the administrator.
• Select the appropriate video card and graphics setting.
• Locate MW4Mercs.exe and make a shortcut on your desktop.
• Run the shortcut in administrator mode to play.
