Take part in the battle between the forces of Light and Dark as they fight over the control of an unnamed mythical land in Myth: The Fallen Lords. Developed by Bungie, Myth: The Fallen Lords is a 1997 real-time strategy and tactics video game, and the first game in the Myth series.

Myth: The Fallen Lords tells the story of a battle between two forces; the "Dark", and the "Light". The forces of darkness are led by Balor and his lieutenants, while the "Light" is led by the nine powerful sorcerers known as "Avatara". The game follows the "The Legion", an elite army under the forces of The Light, as they try to turn back the tide of war to defeat Balor and his increasing forces.

The game was quite popular in its time as it was praised for its grand plot, wonderful graphics, thrilling gameplay, clever level design, and an online multiplayer mode which makes it a head above the rest of the real-time strategy games of its period. The game won multiple awards including "Strategy Game of the Year" from both PC Gamer and Computer Gaming World. It also won the "Game of the Year" from both the Computer Games Strategy Plus and Macworld.

  • To circumvent this, head to the virtual drive and copy CUTSCENE.GOR inside the "MYTH_TFL\TAGS\" then paste the file into the "\tags\" folder inside the game's directory. This makes it so that the video scenes will be loaded locally without requiring the CD.
  • Now head over to the game's directory and right-click Myth_TFL.exe to open its properties.
  • Under the "Compatibility" tab, set the game to "Run this program in compatibility mode for:" and select "Windows XP (Service Pack 3)"
