Tenebris Lake is a popular custom story and mod overhaul to the 2012 game Amnesia: The Dark Descent. Developed by Measuring and Devin413, the game features new terrifying monsters, detailed environments, voice acting, and thrilling moments. The mod has been thoroughly bug-tested, and all text proof-read with over 900 hours of combined work put into it. In this game, the protagonist can only remember two things: that his name is Edward, and that there is a voice in his head saying "Do not fear the darkness". With over forty years of memories gone, what awaits is only a place filled with darkness and terror.

How to Play Tenebris Lake on Windows 10/11

This mod requires the base game Amnesia: The Dark Descent.

1. Download the Tenebris Lake v1.1 files from this page.
2. Navigate your way to the game directory of Amnesia: The Dark Descent. For Steam Users it would be "Steam\steamapps\common\amnesia the dark descent"
3. Unzip the files inside the "redist" folder. NOT in the "custom_stories" folder.
4. Start the game using TenebrisLake.exe.

Note that Amnesia Patch 1.2 is required to play this overhaul mod. If the game is not working, you can try to play it using TenebrisLake.bat instead.
