The Oregon Trail 1.2 is the Windows version of the popular DOS game Oregon Trail Deluxe. Also known as The Oregon Trail for Windows 3.1/95 & Macintosh, this historical edutainment game was developed by Minnesota Educational Computing Consortium (MECC) and was released back in 1993 right after the previous title. 

Prevent death from Dysentery! Follow the historical path that's based on real events. Prepare your hearts, your nerves, and your supplies to avoid death from various sources and ultimately reach the end. Complete the journey and get your adventure rated according to your decisions, the number of settlers remaining, the cash left in your purse, along with many other factors. Compare your final score with your friends and see who has a better chance of survival.

The Oregon Trail 1.2 is the very first title of the series for the Windows platform. Many computers (including schools and public computers) back in the 1980s-2000s came bundled with this awesome educational game. Hence, it was naturally adopted and became a very popular video game among American students.
