Build a team around 30 neighborhood kids and train them to become pros in this fantastic baseball and team management game that started the grand series -  Backyard Baseball. Play your favorite sport on a sandlot, an urban parking lot, and even in a rich kid's backyard. 

In this game, the player takes a managerial role in creating a hastily put-together team of players to compete against a series of opponents. While all the players in the neighborhood love the game, each has their own stats, hidden flaws, and preferences that will affect the team's performance. The game has several game modes available and even features a spectator mode when you're too lazy to actually play and just want to do the managing. All in all, the original Backyard Baseball is a terrific sports game and one of the best classic games for its genre.

How to Run Backyard Baseball on Windows 10/11

Playing the original Backyard Baseball game isn't as straightforward as one would like. All of the old games from Humongous Entertainment, and a series of classic graphical adventure and role-playing games require the ScummVM virtual machine/ emulator to be able to work properly without any issues. To play this game on your modern Windows PC, follow the steps below:

1. Download the game's ISO version to your PC, and unzip the file to any folder.
2. Download and install WinCDEmu, or any similar application.
3. Run WinCDEmu-4.1.exe, and mount Baseball.bin that's located inside the "Backyard Baseball ISO" folder.
4. (Optional) Copy all the content of the mounted drive to any folder, then download the ScummVM-Ready file and extract its content inside the folder - replacing all affected files.
5. Download ScummVM and extract the contents to any folder.
6. Open the application scummvm-2.7.0-win32.exe, and click "Add Game" to use the mounted virtual drive or the game folder with the "ScummVM-Ready" files.
7. Once the game is recognized, select "Backyard Baseball" on the menu, then press "Start" to play the game.
