Tetris Elements

Developed by ImaginEngine and released in 2004, Elements is an indirect sequel to THQ's Tetris Worlds which was released in 2001. Tetris Elements features six game types (including the classic), and each game type can be played with one of the three available modes. 

Game Types

• Classic - the classic Tetris mode with all its original rules.
• Stratosphere - inspired by the game "Breakout". Meteors will keep falling from the sky.
• Fire - the player must heat up the Tetrominoes to melt the surrounding blocks.
• Earthquake - a mode that uses cascade gravity. The board will periodically experience strong tremors.
• Ice - Icicles will drop from the top of the playfield which will continually freeze the blocks.
• Tempest - A familiar Tetris mode but the player must play with two playing fields simultaneously.

Game Modes

• Marathon - Clear as many lines as possible. This game mode uses a different score system.
• Line - Clear 40 lines as fast as possible.
• Ultra - Score as many points as possible in four minutes.

Tetris Elements mostly follow the standard guideline and ruleset for any falling block puzzle game. However, each game type and game mode has its own set of modifications which duly are explained before starting any level.
