Ao Oni

Visit an old and abandoned Japanese mansion with your friends and try to survive the monsters that lurk within the mansion in this horror game. Ao Oni is a Japanese puzzle-themed survival horror adventure game made using RPGMaker XP. In this game, the player takes control of Hiroshi who decided to visit a haunted mansion together with Horishi's three friends, Takuro, Takeshi, and Mika.

Unfortunately, the rumors that monsters live in the mansion prove to be true. Now the group must run away when the monster called Ao Oni (Japanese word for "Blue Demon") comes for them while trying to find a way to escape the building alive. The game features multiple endings and has garnered the reputation of having many tropes as well as different versions of the Oni monster. The game became a phenomenon and has spawned hundreds of fan games, spin-offs, and even a novel.

How to Install Ao Oni

To play this game, you need to install the RPG MAKER XP RTP.

1. Download and install xp_rtp104e.exe.
2. For English language users, download Ao Oni v6.23 and extract the file to any folder.
3. Install the game using aooni_en.exe.
4. Start the game using Game.exe located in the game's folder.
