Developed by BioWare and released back in 1998, Baldur's Gate is a fantasy-themed role-playing video game that takes place in a high fantasy campaign set in the Forgotten Realms. The game features more than ten playable classes with dozens of subclasses available. As the first game of the popular series, the original Baldur's Gate continues to be referenced as a point of inspiration in many modern roleplaying games. Even today, Baldur's Gate is still cited as one of the best video games ever made.

Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition was released almost fifteen years after the original game. This version updates the original game for better compatibility with modern systems, enhanced graphics, and visuals, native support for high-definition wide-screens, and includes the Sword Coast expansion plus brand-new challenges in the Black Pits arena.
