Sam and Max Hit the Road

Follow the duo as they explore a variety of cartoon environments to solve a series of mysteries in this classic point-and-click adventure. Sam and Max Hit the Road is a 2D point-and-click game with tons of humor and a series of simple puzzles that will keep you entertained for hours. Developed by LucasArts, this game was initially released back in November 1993 for the DOS but was later ported to Mac and Windows.

Created by Steve Purcell, the characters Sam (the detective dog) and Max (the bunny) are pretty popular during its time. In this game, the two detectives must handle a case where Bruno the Bigfoot went missing from the circus. Search for clues and interact with a wide array of characters to solve the case and end the mystery.

The player will take control of Sam as he explores the pre-rendered cartoon world and picks up different items throughout the course of the game. These items can often be used to interact with the game world, given to other characters, or combined with other inventory items. Because of its cartoon setting, some puzzles have far-fetched solutions while the rest are mostly logical.
