The game features many improvements from the first title and introduces a new isometric perspective, unit hitpoints, more civilizations, new wonders to build, and a lot more.

In Sid Meier's Civilization II, you win by either conquering all the other civilizations or being the first to reach advanced space technology and manufacture the necessary items to win the Space Race. The game features a much larger tech tree, more unit types and city structures, a rudimentary city-planning AI, and support for larger maps. What makes the game even more sensational is its support for mods that allow players to customize the game's graphics and even mechanics. The game also features "Scenarios" that emulate historical events and situations.

CivII won numerous awards and is considered one of the best classic games of all time.

How To Play Civilization II in Windows 10/11

The original game runs in 16-bit, so it doesn't normally work on modern 64-bit Windows. To play on Windows 10/11, you can download our Ready-to-Play Version. This repackaged version features a pre-configured Windows 3.1 emulator, so all you need to do is extract the file and open Sid Meier's Civilization II.exe to play.
