Sid Meier's Civilization

Sid Meier's Civilization, commonly referred to as Civ 1, is a 1991 turn-based 4X strategy game and is the first title of the Civilization game series/ franchise.

In this game, the player is tasked with managing an entire civilization throughout several millennia to compete against other computer-controlled civilizations. The player can control and manage various areas such as city development, exploration, government, research, funds, trading, and more. The player is also given the ability to control individual units across the map to fulfill different objectives such as settling in new lands, defending the borders, or conquering other cities.

By interacting with other civilizations, The player can enter diplomatic relationships such as alliances or wars. The game ends once certain objectives are fulfilled (i.e. world domination).
