Zoo Tycoon

Create the ultimate zoo that will keep your guests and your animals happy! Build Exhibits that can accommodate animals from all over the world in Zoo Tycoon. Developed by Blue Fang Games, Zoo Tycoon was released back in 2001 and features a classic city-building formula in a smaller zoo setting. The game even adds some educational value as the players can learn more about the animals in the zoo through the game's detailed write-ups and species-matching game mechanics.

The player has two goals in Zoo Tycoon; create a zoo with happy animals and guests, and earn a lot of money from grants, donations, trusts, and taxes. As you can modify almost every part of the zoo, you can create some unique enclosures and exhibits according to your taste. Although managing the animals' happiness is a bit tricky, keeping them satisfied is the core of the zoo. The game offers several scenarios with varying difficulties and challenges.

The game also features bonus animals that you can install separately in the form of a DLC. The additional animals include a reindeer, a llama, and even a mountain lion.

How to Install Zoo Tycoon

1. Download the game's ISO version to your PC and extract the file to any folder.
2. Download and install WinCDEmu, or similar software.
3. Open WinCDEmu-4.1.exe, and mount rzr-ztcc1.bin to the virtual drive. 
4. Navigate to the virtual drive and install the game using Setup.exe.
5. Download the No-CD Patch, and extract its contents to the game's directory - replacing the zoo.exe file.
6. Launch the game using the new zoo.exe file. You can now play even if the virtual drive is unmounted.

How to Add Bonus Animals in Zoo Tycoon

1. Download the Bonus Animals file on this page and extract its content to any folder.
2. Launch the game. In the main menu,  click "Get New Zoo Tycoon Items" to open the update screen.
3. On the update screen, click on "Check Locally" to open a file manager window.
4. Navigate your way to the folder where you extracted the Bonus Animals file.
5. Select the file or animal you want to add to your game (CTRL + Click allows you to select multiple files), then click "Open"
6. A dialog box will pop out asking you if you would like to restart the game to load the changes. Click "Yes".
7. The game will automatically restart and all the animals/ files you've selected will become available afterward.
