Black & White is a god simulation and real-time strategy game developed by LionHead Studios and was released back in 2001. The game puts the player in the role of a god to the primitive people and must lead his/her followers to accomplish various tasks to advance humanity as a whole.

As a neophyte god, the player must discover and interact with the other gods to learn about them. As the story progresses, the player will be intertwined with the existing conflict, and be forced to eliminate the other gods to would later be the only god remaining in the world.

Black and White is a slow-paced game where the player's influence grows very slowly. However, the game's artificial intelligence was praised by many for being ahead of its time. Because of the depth and uniqueness of the game Black and White is considered as one of the greatest games of all time.

How to Play Black & White on Windows 10/11

In order to play Black & White on Windows 10 or 11 without problems, you need to install the unofficial patches after installing the base game. The easiest way of doing it is by following these steps:

1. Download both ISO Version and RIP Version from this site.
2. Unpack ISO Version to a temporary folder, and unpack the RIP Version to the game folder.
3. Navigate your way to the ISO Version folder and copy the "Audio" folder to the game folder where you extracted the RIP Version of the game. Overwrite existing files.
4. Install any creature packs you want. If a warning saying that the game might not have been properly installed appears, just choose "No, this has been installed correctly".
5. Install the following unofficial patches one at a time: v1.10, v1.20, and v1.43 (Do NOT install v1.30). The v1.43 patch makes the game playable for Windows 7, 8, 10, and 11.
