Developed by Pyro Studios, Commandos: Behind Enemy Lines is a 1998 real-time tactics shooter where the player must lead a group of six Allied soldiers to conduct a wide range of missions across wartime Africa and Europe.

The game features a variety of missions that require extensive use of small-unit tactics. The list of missions includes sabotages, assassinations, and rescue operations. The player must plan ahead and develop a foolproof strategy before executing the plan. Commandos: Behind Enemy Lines was one of the biggest hit games by 2001, followed by the Commandos series.
