Virtua Cop 2 is a shooter game developed by SEGA and was first released for arcade cabinet systems back in 1995. The game became so successful that it was ported to other systems including Microsoft Windows in 1997.

In this game, you take control of one of the three characters (Rage, Smarty, and Janet) across three levels/ cases (Beginner, Medium, and Expert). Virtua Cop 2 follows the events of the first game where the bosses of the criminal empire are either dead, missing or in prison. However, there have been an unusual amount of unexplained activities involving suspicious-looking materials that are happening across the town that might be related to the E.V.I.L. Inc. gang, and it's your duty to investigate these events and find out the mysteries around it with the help of a new member Janet Marshall who is an expert in criminal psychology profiling.

On top of the usual rail-shooter formula and game mechanics, Virtua Cop 2 introduced the new "justice shots" system where the player gets a bonus points multiplier by neutralizing enemies without killing them - mainly by shooting their guns and disarming their weapons.
