Midtown Madness 2 is a driving simulation game following the success of the first game. Developed by Angel Studios, Inc. (now known as RockStar Games), this game puts an emphasis on street racing and stunt driving through the busy streets of the city. The gameplay remains mostly the same as in the previous installment with its easy-to-learn controls. The game's story mode is divided into two "training" modes that are actually quite challenging to complete.

Unlike the previous game, Midtown Madness 2 features two open worlds in which to race: the virtual cities of San Francisco, California, and London, England. You can also customize your game experience by changing the time of the day, the weather, the amount of pedestrians, and the number of cops in the vicinity.
