OpenArena

Go on a shootout against other players and put your shooting skills to the test in this community-based FPS game - OpenArena! Developed by the FSFPS Group, OpenArena is a community-produced deathmatch first-person shooter based on GPL idTech3 technology. The game features all the standard game modes including Free for All, Capture the Flag, Domination, Harvester, Overload, and more. Compete against other players using pure shooting skills and situational awareness as you dominate the arena.

Despite still being in development at the moment of this writing, OpenArena already features 17 unique player models and 12 awesome weapons. This open-source multiplayer FPS is available for everyone to create their own unique content and even create their own versions of the game. The game also allows the player to spawn in bots - perfect for practicing your aim or learning how each weapon behaves.

By default, the game is set to feature some blood and gore and generally contains Mature Content. As such, the game is not recommended for young players/audiences.
