Oregon Trail II

Travel across towns and through the wilderness in the state of Oregon in this awesome sequel to the legendary strategy game. Oregon Trail II improves a lot of aspects of the original game and features adventure-like gameplay with educational material. 

The game starts by letting the player choose their occupation, level, date of travel, starting point, and destination. The player may also choose the type of wagon to use, and create companions which can greatly affect the game's difficulty. The game features several available occupations such as banker, doctor, carpenter, butcher, and pastor. Depending on the chosen occupation, various bonuses such as passive skills and increased success rates will be given to the player. Having high medical skills is useful against diseases while having the sharpshooting skill allows the player to instantly kill animals more often when hunting for game.

Oregon Trail 2 builds up on the formula of the first game by retaining supply-managing, trading, sailing, and other elements. However, the sequel features more interactive events - allowing for more flexibility in making decisions.

How to Install Oregon Trail II on Windows 10/11

1. Download the No-CD RIP Version on this page.
2. Extract the contents of the file to any folder. (i.e. C:\Games\)
3. Open OREGONII.INI inside the "..\Oregon Trail 2\Data" Folder with a text editor.
4. In the text editor, edit the line with "rsrcpath=" and replace the file path with the data folder in your game directory. example: "rsrcpath=C:\Games\Oregon Trail 2\Data". Hit save, and exit the editor.
5. Launch the game using OTII32.EXE
6. The game will start with a Quicktime video in fullscreen. The video will appear black as modern Windows is not compatible with old versions of Quicktime.
7. Exit the video using "alt+tab", and you will find the game running with its menu opened.
