Play the role of Harry Junior and embark on an epic and perilous journey through the Mayan jungles of Central America. Discover the secrets of ancient civilization and rescue your father, Pitfall Harry, from the clutches of the evil Mayan warrior spirit named Zakelua. Although it was often criticized for its lack of control during certain animations, the game was well-praised because of its wonderful visuals and sound design - making it very popular during its time, along with "Aladdin", "Lion King", and "The Jungle Book".

Prior to starting a new game, the players are given the choice to change various aspects of the game including the controls and difficulty level - which was greatly appreciated by many due to the challenge of the game.

How to Play Pitfall: The Mayan Adventure on Windows 10/11

Unfortunately, there is no "real" way of playing this classic game on modern Windows systems. Without a remastered version, a patch, or an update, you can only enjoy the game without the sound and having to play in small window mode.

To try out this classic, just download the RIP version on this page and extract the file to any folder. Then open PITFALL.EXE to start the game. Be sure to adjust the settings in "File>Properties" to enjoy a slightly bigger screen.
