Sonic Robo Blast 2

Stop the evil Dr. Eggman from harnessing the Black Rock and turning it into his battleship. Join hands with Sonic and his friends on another quest to save the world from the evil Eggman in Sonic Robo Blast 2. 

Abbreviated as SRB2, Sonic Robo Blast is a fan-made video game based on the Sonic the Hedgehog game series. Developed by Sonic Team Junior, this game is a 3D platformer using a modified version of the Doom Legacy source port of Doom. The game attempts to recreate the style of the classic Sega Genesis Sonic games in 3D. Unlike the official Sonic games, Sonic Robo Blast 2 features an original multiplayer mode.

SRB2 has been in the works since 1998, and even version 2.2.11 is still considered incomplete, but it does feature a large portion of what is planned. This open-source project supports mods and can be easily customizable using external editors or via the game's source code.
