Bundled by Microsoft, the Complete Collection features the base game, Zoo Tycoon, all of its official expansion packs, and even more bonus content for everyone to enjoy.

This game bundle was released back in 2003 and includes two expansion packs; Marine Mania and Dinosaur Digs.

Dinosaur Digs

As the first official expansion pack, Dinosaur Digs adds a total of 26 new prehistoric animals and 1 mythical animal that you can place in your zoo. Just make sure to build a strong electric fence as dinosaurs may harass, and even eat your guests!

Marine Mania

On top of the new aquatic-themed animals, Marine Mania gives the player the option to make giant tanks that can hold a lot of marine animals for display, and even hold Marine Shows. The player can even choose which trick and what animal will perform, as well as how often these shows will be held. This expansion also adds the ability to build "combined" exhibits for amphibious animals to access.

How to Install Zoo Tycoon: Complete Collection on Windows 10/11

1. Download the game's ISO version.
2. Extract the zip file, and put the two ISO files inside into any folder. 
3. Download and install WinCDEmu, or similar software.
4. Open WinCDEmu-4.1.exe, and mount the ZOO_TYCN.iso to the virtual drive.
5. Navigate to the virtual drive and install the game using the provided installer.
6. Unmount the virtual drive and repeat steps 4 and 5 with MARINA.iso. 
7. Download the No-CD Patch from this page.
8. Extract the contents of the zip file to the game's directory and replace the zoo.exe file.
9. Now you can launch the game without the mounted drive.

Resolution Fix for Zoo Tycoon: Complete Collection

If you are having some problems with the game's low resolution, you can head over to the game's directory and find the file called zoo.ini. Open the .ini file with Notepad (or other text editors) and find the line saying "[user]". Under it should be the lines for changing the game's screen width and screen height. Match the values to your native desktop resolution to play in full-screen.

How to Install Zoo Tycoon: Complete Collection on MacOS

1. Download the Repack version for Mac, and move the file into your Applications folder.
2. Right-click and open the main Zoo Tycoon.app.
3. A message popup will appear "Mounting Fake Image ...", wait until it closes again.
4. Press Command + Shift + . (period) to show hidden Finder files.
5. Locate .Zoo Tycoon.app, which should be in the same folder as the main Zoo Tycoon.app.
6. An error will occur if you try to run the app at this stage.
7. Open the Terminal.app and run "xattr -cr [Path to .Zoo Tycoon.app]".
8. Now the app will run, but it will look for a CD.
9. Download the ISO version for Windows and extract MARINE.iso.
10. Mount MARINE.iso and run the app again.
11. Use "Change Resolution.command" to adjust the resolution.
12. Delete all files inside the folder, except for .Zoo Tycoon.app.
13. Rename .Zoo Tycoon.app to Zoo Tycoon.app, by removing the "." (period), the app will unhide.
14. Press Command + Shift + . (period) to disable showing hidden Finder files.
15. Move MARINE.iso to the folder, so it becomes bundled with the main app.
16. Now the game will run as long as you mount MARINE.iso.

How to Add Bonus Animals in Zoo Tycoon: Complete Collection

1. Download the chosen, or all of the Bonus Animals files on this page and extract its content to any folder.
2. Launch the game. In the main menu,  click "Get New Zoo Tycoon Items" to open another screen.
3. On the update screen, open the file manager by clicking on the "Check Locally" button.
4. Navigate your way to the folder where you extracted the Bonus Animals files.
5. Select the file or animal you want to add. Select multiple files by holding down the "CTRL" key while clicking. Press "Open" to load the chosen files.
6. On the pop-up box, click "Yes" to confirm the game restart.
7. Once the game is restarted, you can now play with the game as usual, but with more animals.
